This isn't the first time we report on HTC One E9, but it's the first time we can actually see the smartphone in pictures. The One E9 is expected to be unveiled in the next couple of days, as we told you earlier today, but until then, let's see how it looks and what it has to offer.

First of all, the new information regarding the One E9 comes from @Upleaks, the same person who had leaked some presentation videos of HTC One M9 before the smartphone was announced.

This gives these details some weight, so we expect them to be pretty accurate with the final version of the HTC One E9. Well, the so-called HTC A55 or Hima_Ace will be a slightly better smartphone than the One M9.

One aspect that may be arguable when it comes to performance is the processor that the HTC One E9 is said to be equipped with. According to the cited source, HTC One E9 will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor clocked at 2GHz.

The One M9 is equipped with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, so it remains to be seen which one will perform better in tests. The thing is, the MediaTek chipset will certainly be cheaper than Qualcomm's.

Two versions of One E9 will be available later this month

Furthermore, the One E9 will sport a large 5.5-inch WQHD capacitive touchscreen display. The phone is also rumored to pack 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

On the back, the smartphone will feature a 20-megapixel photo snapper, while on the front there will be a 13-megapixel camera for the standard version and a 4-UltraPixel camera for the high-end model.

Also, the One E9 will feature BoomSound, Bluetooth 4.1 and a “small battery.” Obviously, it will run Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system with HTC Sense 7 UI on top.

It will be released at the end of March and will be rolled out worldwide in the next four months. HTC One E will be available in White Rose Gold, Brown Gold and Metallic Gray.

Pictures of the HTC One E9 have already appeared at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, so it's pretty clear that we're very close to an official announcement.
