HTC’s new Android flagship smartphone is about to hit shelves in Europe. HTC One is expected to arrive in the UK during this month, but the phone will be released in other regions as well, including North America.

We already know HTC One will be available for free in the UK on select plans or £510/€590/$773 outright, but no details on the phone’s pricing options and availability in Russia have been available until today.

The folks over at GSMArena have just learned via Hi-Tech.mail.ru that HTC One will arrive in Russia in April. Currently, the smartphone is available for pre-order via Euroset for no less than 29,990 rubles off contract, which is about $980 or €750.

Unfortunately, the Russian retailer does not mention exactly when the smartphone goes on sale, but it’s worth mentioning that customers can choose either the black or the silver versions.

HTC hopes to bring the One on the market before Samsung announces the Galaxy S IV, but that remains to be seen. Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy S handset will be officially unveiled on March 14 and is likely to go on sale beginning April/May.

The most powerful Android smartphone built by HTC to date, the One comes equipped with a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

There will be two HTC One models available on the market, so depending on their needs customers will be able to choose the 32GB or the 64GB version.

HTC One boasts a stunning 4.7-inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.

Another selling point is the 4 ultrapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
