Today, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has officially announced the release of a new color flavor of its HTC One flagship smartphone, namely Gold.

The new device variant builds on the success that the actual Gold HTC One has seen when made official in early October, yet does not feature the same high price tag as the original.

In fact, as HTC announced, the HTC One flagship model in the sophisticated new color was destined to join the series of Silver, Black, Blue and Red iterations that were already launched for the device.

The smartphone comes with the same features and capabilities as other models before it, while also packing a brushed body with black accents.

“Building on the all metal design of the HTC One, and the recent success of the HTC 18 carat gold MOBO phone, we are excited to have developed our own gold device, offering yet more choice to consumers,” Philip Blair, president of HTC EMEA, commented.

The same as the already available variants, the new HTC One in Gold was released with features such as HTC Zoe, HTC BlinkFeed and HTC BoomSound.

It will also include a 4.7-inch full HD touchscreen display, along with a Snapdragon 600 processor packed inside, and 2GB of RAM. Furthermore, HTC One in Gold sports a 4MP UltraPixel camera on the back, along with a front camera for making video calls.

The new smartphone version arrives on shelves with Google’s Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system right from the start, and also features the HTC Sense 5.5 UI loaded on top.

HTC has announced plans to make the new device iteration available across Europe through various partners, and promised specific details on the matter in the near future.

No details on the phone’s price tag have been provided as of now, but users should expect it to cost the same as the Silver, Black, Blue and Red flavors do.
