Bell Canada is the second wireless carrier in the country to have the HTC Legend available for purchase on its airwaves. Following the launch of this device on Virgin Mobiles' network at the beginning of this week, Canadians now have the possibility to purchase the phone from two carriers in the country, as Bell has gone official with the new Android-based device.

“Personalize your phone like never before with the HTC Legend. Running on Android 2.1 with HTC Sense, it's preloaded with all your favourite Google apps. Features include a 5 megapixel camera, an AMOLED screen and a SIM card,” Bell notes on its website. However, we should mention that the HTC Legend comes with far more features than just these ones.

The specifications list of the device includes a 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that boasts a 320 x 480 pixel resolution, 512 MB of internal memory coupled with a microSD memory card slot that supports up to 32GB of additional storage space (a 2 GB microSD included in the package), and an Aluminum unibody design unique on the market.

At the same time, the Android 2.1-based phone comes with Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi connectivity, Micro USB port, 3.5 mm headphone jack built-in GPS receiver with support for free turn by turn Navigation with the latest Google Maps, Media player, Quickoffice (view Microsoft Office documents), and a battery that can provide up to 6 hours of talk time or up to 560 hours (23 days) of standby time. HTC Legend measures 112 x 56.3 x 11.5 mm and weighs in at 126 g. Bell has the device available for purchase priced at $79.95 upon the signing of a three-year contract agreement. Canadians interested in the device, but unwilling to commit to a lengthy service agreement, can have it without a contract for $399.95. The HTC Legend is available for purchase on Bell's website here.
