One of the recently rumored mobile phones that Taiwan-based handset vendor HTC Corporation is expected to deliver to the market in the not too far future is the HTC Legend, which recently emerged in some leaked photos, and which has been spotted on the website of a Dutch retailer. The mobile phone has been since removed from the website, but its appearance there suggests that it might not be too long before HTC decides to make it official.

The Netherlands' KPN retailer has listed the HTC Legend on its website next to the Nokia N900 and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, as tweakers.net reports (via Engadget), and said that the phone was expected to become available for purchase as soon as March is here. Moreover, Android enthusiasts in the country were also able to sign up for updates on the phone's availability, yet the offer is no longer available there, it seems.

In case there are some of you not yet familiar with what HTC Legend is expected to come to the market with, we can count 256MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM, a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel photo snapper, Wi-Fi connectivity options, FM radio, built-in GPS receiver, and more, including that Google Android operating system on board.

For what it's worth, the appearance of Legend on the retailer's website does not count as an official announcement, but can be seen as a strong proof that HTC is close to unveil the device officially. With the Mobile World Congress set to kick off in only a couple of days in Barcelona, it is possible that the retailer listed the device ahead of scheduled date, and that HTC will make the announcement in Spain, but nothing it certain for the time being. On way or the other, we should soon learn more details on HTC's Android phone, so keep an eye on this space for future updates.
