A mysterious smartphone, the HTC Kii has just appeared in some potentially accidental information at the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). It is the first time when we hear about this device, although it should be in a pretty evolved state, as it needed Bluetooth certification.

HTC has managed to impress with their latest smartphone releases. The Kii one is less evolved, though, given the fact that it has no touchscreen. It will still be a high end mobile phone, as it will run on a Windows Mobile Standard version, probably the latest one, as HTC is making efforts to upgrade their older models to the 6th version of the operating system.

From the fact that information for HTC Kii has been first spotted on the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) website, there is one sure feature that the phone will support. It will come with Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR, although that's a feature that many other similar devices out there support. There are few details concerning this smartphone, including its design, as there is no picture of it.

Some people gave it a guess and saw the Vodafone 920 handset as the most likely to be hiding under the HTC Kii codename. The device has been produced by HTC and brings the same specifications, but many other similar devices do too. From what we know, there is nothing impressive about the handset, although an official presentation might reveal potentially interesting aspects.

The new information surfaced on the HTC Kii smartphone is quite interesting, especially as there's a close unveiling expected from this producer at the beginning of this October. Several devices should be announced on this occasion, as HTC looks to present its fourth quarter lineup. Aside from HTC Kii, there are some other devices that should be presented on the 1st of October. This includes HTC Polaris and even HTC Omni, although nothing is certain at this point.
