One of the mobile phones that should soon arrive on the United States market on the airwaves of wireless carrier AT&T is the HTC Holiday, a device that already went official under the name of HTC Raider 4G.

Nothing was formally announced on its availability on AT&T's network, but the phone has just passed through the FCC with support for the carrier's services, and that alone might be considered as confirmation of the upcoming release.

The new device should pack support for LTE connectivity when made available at AT&T, and is expected to be the very first such smartphone at the wireless carrier.

Already announced for the market in South Korea, the handset should be officially introduced at AT&T soon, and is also expected to be released in other markets around the world, such as Australia, where it would be launched at wireless carrier Telstra.

While launched in South Korea as the Raider 4G, the new device is said to be headed for Telstra as the HTC 4G, and might sport a totally different name when made available in the United States at AT&T.

AT&T is expected to start selling 4G LTE smartphones before the end of the ongoing year, which means that the HTC Holiday will be in users’ hands in the coming months.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the smartphone is expected to include a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, and a 4.5-inch display capable of a qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution.

Moreover, it should include an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which sports flash, auto focus, and support for full 1080p HD resolution, as well as a front-facing camera for video calling.

The phone packs a 1,620mAh battery, WiFi, Bluetooth and microSD memory card slot, along with a built-in GPS receiver, and the like, while being powered by Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.
