One of the smartphones set to bring the Windows Phone 7 operating system to the market in the United States in the near future is the HTC HD7, which was already announced as headed for T-Mobile's airwaves, and which was already put on pre-order on Amazon.

The HTC HD7 is the Windows Phone 7 device that should arrive on shelves with the largest touchscreen display, 4.3-inches.

The new mobile phone was recently put on a pre-order status on Amazon, with price tag of $169.99 attached to it, upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier T-Mobile.

While no specific release date for the handset was made available at Amazon, T-Mobile did announce not too long ago that it would have it on sale starting with November 8th.

This was announced as the official release date for Windows Phone 7 devices in the United States, and AT&T would also make available for purchase its first such device on the same day.

“One of the world's first smartphones using the Windows Phone 7 operating system, the HTC HD7 for T-Mobile pairs rich mobile multimedia features with a 4.3-inch touch display--the largest screen available on a Windows Phone in the U.S,” Amazon notes on its website.

“Its size not only gives you an extra-large virtual keyboard, but also allows you to enjoy your favorite videos and movies in cinematic style. It's also powered by a blazing-fast Qualcomm 1 GHz Snapdragon processor for a fast mobile data experience.”

For those who might not know, T-Mobile and HTC launched the Windows Mobile-based HD2 in early 2010, the handset with the largest touchscreen display at the time.

The new handset should sport a wide range of high-end features, including 16 GB of internal memory, or a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, dual LED flash, and HD 720p video recording.

Moreover, the smartphone comes with support for T-Mobile's high-speed 3G network, along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options, TeleNav GPS Navigator with turn-by-turn navigation, or a 1230 mAh battery for extended use while on the go.

“And the 3G-enabled HTC HD7 will benefit from the enhanced speeds of T-Mobile's upgraded HSPA+ network, which is being rolled out nationwide to reach up to 200 million people by the end of the year and offers speeds close to 4G connectivity,” the retailer states.
