Wireless services provider T-Mobile UK is expected to add to its offering in the near future a new device running under Google's Android operating system, namely the HTC Flyer tablet PC.

The device was unveiled to the world back in February, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, along with other Android-based products from the Taiwanese mobile phone maker.

The HTC Flyer comes to the market with a 7-inch touchscreen display and packs a 1.5GHz application processor inside, for increased performance capabilities.

The tablet PC also comes with 1GB of RAM inside, and with 32 GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

The device runs under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, and comes with the HTC Sense user interface loaded on top of it.

The HTC Flyer was launched in WiFi and WiFi+3G versions, the latter featuring 850/900/1800/1900 MHz connectivity capabilities, and support for HSPA/WCDMA 900/AWS/2100 MHz, along with IEEE 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity .

The tablet PC also comes with built-in GPS receiver, the usual set of sensors, and with a unique technology from HTC, called Scribe, through which a digital pen can be used for taking notes on the device's screen.

The 7 inch touch-sensitive screen boasts a 1024 X 600 resolution, and is complemented by a camera for video calling, and a 5 megapixel back-facing photo snapper for taking photos and video recording.

T-Mobile UK has already put the tablet PC on a coming soon page on its website, but the company did not unveil specific info on when might the device become available for purchase, nor on the price tag it would feature.

However, those interested in acquiring it can head to the wireless carrier's website here to register their interest so as to receive updates on the release date and pricing.
