The HTC Cavalier has received FCC approval some while ago and left us waiting for any operator to announce its release. That has not happened yet, but the smartphone is out for sale at online retailers.

HTC Cavalier has managed for some time now to stir the interest of several mobile phone users, due to its evolved performances. At only 13.7 mm in thickness, the phone fully manages to live up to the standards set by its predecessor, HTC Excalibur, and even surpass them on several occasions.

The handset has a 400 Mhz processor, one of the most performant when it comes to this type of devices. The 2.4 inches display screen manages to offer a 320 x 240 pixels resolution, which proves to be quite efficient for document, image and video captures viewing.

The 2 megapixel camera is set at the average performances of mobile phones when it comes to providing image capture capabilities. Moreover, the phone will also manage to provide 3G services for the US. That sums up a great evolution when compared to the previous HTC Excalibur smartphone.

Other specifications also include features which have been available until now too, on the less evolved devices. The handset runs on Windows Mobile 6 and is capable of HSPDA services. Moreover, connectivity is available through Bluatooth 2.0 and the phone also includes a microSD card slot in order to make sure that the owner does not run out of available storage space. Along with the QWERTY keyboard, this makes one of the most evolved solutions for a wide range of mobile phone services.

HTC Cavalier is from now available for purchase form several US importers, such a PhoneSource USA. The handset comes SIM unlocked for the price of USD 560. No US carrier offers at this time the device for any type of subsidy.
