Additional information about HTC's upcoming Bliss Android smartphone has just emerged, including details about the phone's hardware and software configuration.

As we reported back in May, HTC is reportedly working on a woman-centric Android smartphone that is expected to be announced by the end of the year.

To make the Android platform more appealing to women, the HTC Bliss will be delivered with a set of accessories to raise its desirability.

Initially we were only aware of the fact that HTC will offer the phone in more color schemes, including greenish hue, pink and blue.

In addition, the phone will be manufactured from a special rubberized plastic to give women a better grip over the phone.

According to the latest hearsay, the HTC Bliss will be equipped with a single core 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7630 processor, complemented by an Adreno 205 (GPU), which puts it into the mid-entry category.

Furthermore, it appears that the Bliss will be delivered with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread on board and HTC Sense 3.5 user interface on top.

HTC Sense 3.5 UI has yet to be announced by the Taiwanese handset manufacturer. As a matter fact, HTC has recently launched a the HTC Sense 3.0 UI with the Sensation and EVO 3D smartphones a few weeks ago.

Some of the accessories that will be available for HTC Bliss include: a wireless charging dock with built-in speakers, a square-shaped speaker that supports voice recognition, as well as a 'charm indicator'.

The 'charm indicator' lights up every time the user receives a message or misses a call, much like a notification LED.

Rumors point to an exclusive Verizon launch in the United States, but the HTC Bliss may be released in Europe as well, soon afterwards.

No word on the exact release date or price tag yet, but HTC is expected to launch the Bliss by the end of the year.
