HTC, a global leading mobile phone innovator, has announced today the HTC Touch HD, a mobile handset that stands up mainly due to its entertainment capabilities. The new device is set to improve the communication experience of any user, courtesy of its 3.8-inch Wide-screen VGA display (WVGA), a 5-megapixel camera, which features autofocus, and a standard 3.5mm audio jack.

Indian multimedia and mobile Internet fans alike will be able to enjoy an enhanced experience while using the phone, and enterprise users are likely to do the same. The new HTC Touch HD comes with HTC’s beautiful TouchFLO 3D user interface, which is able to offer users fast and intuitive access to other people, to messages or content that meets certain requirements.

The 3.5mm headphone jack has been included with the handset so as to offer compatibility with most of the headphones available on the market, allowing customers to use the accessory they consider to deliver the best possible sound quality.

“HTC Touch HD delivers an uncompromising multimedia and Internet experience for Indian mobile phone users and reaffirms HTC’s commitment towards mobile phone innovation,” said Ajay Sharma, Country Head, HTC India. “We are living in a time where concepts have radically changed. The Internet is so much more than just email and our customers expect to be able to access the Internet and high quality multimedia content no matter where they are, and the HTC Touch HD surely delivers on all these counts.”

The high performance functionalities of the HTC Touch HD are complemented by a stylish, sleek design which HTC has already accustomed us with. The phone's 3.8 inch WVGA touchscreen provides impressive clarity and vibrant colors, delivering an enhanced experience while watching videos, browsing the Internet or viewing the photos taken using its 5-megapixel auto focus camera.

HTC announced that the new Touch HD would be made available at a price tag of around $880 and that it could be purchased at any leading HTC Authorized Reseller across the country.
