One of the first carriers to bring the HP Veer in Europe, O2 Germany has recently announced that it has pushed the smartphone's release date to June.

The phone was previously expected to hit the store shelves in May, but for unknown reasons the carrier has changed the availability time frame of the Veer.

Although the carrier has yet to announce the exact release date of the phone, customers who are interested to purchase the Veer can register on the O2 Germany's website and reserve one.

Additionally, customers who prefer to reserve the device will also have the option to choose how many days they wish to have the HP Veer kept for them in case they cannot reach in time at any of the carrier's stores to pick it up.

However, those traveling in the States at the beginning of next month may be able to purchase the HP Veer from AT&T. The manufacturer is throwing a launch party scheduled for May 2 in Anaheim, California and calls it HP Veer Launch Party Event.

HP Veer will be among the first webOS smartphones to come with the Synergy feature, which enables users to sign in to their Facebook, Google, Microsoft Exchange, LinkedIn, Yahoo! and other accounts and information will automatically populate their phones.

The slider is perfect for those who 'despise' having to carry large smartphones, as it only measures 84 x 54.5 x 15.1 mm.

In addition, the Veer features a full QWERTY keyboard and sports a 2.6-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 262K colors and 320 x 400 pixels resolution.

Other key features of the slider include HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, 8 GB of internal user storage, support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1 beta, Wi-Fi mobile hotspot support, integrated GPS and a 5-megapixel camera with enhanced fixed focus and camcorder.
