As HP has one of the industry's largest mobility offerings, ranging from consumer devices and enterprise solutions to mobile network infrastructure and management, the manufacturer decided, after conducting a research across three continents to understand consumer design preferences and create a bold new look for its two new consumer notebooks, to release a new series of notebooks, informs Hardware News.

These are the HP Pavilion dv2000 Series Entertainment Notebook PC and Compaq Presario V3000 Series Notebook PC. Also, the company has signed a regional marketing agreement with iPass to provide secure global connectivity services to small and medium businesses in Asia Pacific.

HP has also started yesterday a global marketing campaign - themed "The Computer is Personal Again" that will communicate HP's vision to make the computer a more powerful personal tool.

"Technology is not simply about hardware - it's about enhancing the user experience by building innovations at every level of computing technology, right from designing to ease-of-use, security and reliability as well as maintenance and service," said Adrian Koch, Senior Vice President, HP Personal Systems Group, Asia Pacific and Japan.

As a result, the HP Pavilion dv2000 Series Entertainment Notebook PC and Compaq Presario V3000 Series Notebook PC feature a bold, unique and modern industrial design. HP also released a new business notebook line, including a travel-friendly HP Compaq nc2400 Notebook PC. This latest, less than 1.3 kg ultra-portable notebook is the company's thinnest and lightest notebook to date, with an optional integrated optical drive.

"Mobility represents a great growth opportunity across all of HP, and all our business units are contributing toward the goal of always on, always ready computing," added Koch. "We're creating and enabling experiences that allow intelligent access to information and content where you want it, when you want it, on a device you want."

The new notebooks are Microsoft Vista-capable, featuring a suite of hardware features and software solutions that are designed to enhance security, improve ease of use and help ensure reliability.
