It appears that HP is gearing up to provide a successor to its HP Slate 7. So far the device has leaked in Europe and goes by the name of HP Slate 7 Plus.

The upgraded slate comes with a 7-inch display featuring an improved resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels, reports FrAndroid. The HP device has received a makeover, processor wise as well. Now the company has slipped in a Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core chip coupled with 1GB of RAM.

A better main 5-megapixel camera has been added, while the front one brings VGA. Other functionalities include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Miracast and mini HDMI out. 8GB of memory are provided on board with the microSD card allowing users to increase storage capacity.

The slate weights only 342g / 0.75 pounds so users will be able to handle it by using only one hand. In France, it’s already available for the price of €149 / $205, but other European countries will probably start seeing it at the end of next month.
