Deciding to skip on the press release routine this once, leading PC supplier HP added two new mobile computers to its portfolio, both aimed at end-users from the business sector and powered by Intel processors.

The two notebooks that the company put together go by the names of G62m and Pavilion dv7t.

The 17.3-inch Pavilion dv7t is the more powerful of the two and users can choose between several CPU options, which can be Intel Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7.

Whichever chip is selected is backed up by a solid amount of memory, up to 8 GB of RAM to be exact.

Storage space is provided by one or two hard disk drives (HDD), for a capacity of up to 2 TB, while a solid state drive of 160 GB is also an option, for those seeking speed over storage space.

There is also a DVD, a Blu-ray drive, a TrueVision webcam, a 6-cell or 9-cell battery and, most importantly, ATI Radeon Mobility Graphics.

Granted, Intel Integrated graphics are, of course, present, but those willing to buy this machine will also be able to go for the Mobility Radeon HD 5470 or 5650 discrete card.

The second laptop added to HP's line, the G62m, has a screen size of 15.6 inches and runs on an Intel Celeron 900, a T3300 or T3500 CPU.

Up to 4 GB of RAM are available, as well as the GMA (graphics media accelerator) 4500M integrated graphics.

Apparently, this computer does not have any discrete GPU options, meaning it is aimed more at basic business uses, like document viewing and editing.

The configuration also includes a DVD writer, up to 500 GB of storage, a webcam, a 6-cell battery and a 5-in-1 card reader.

The Pavilion dv7t is up for order at a price of $799.99, whereas the G62m sells for $529.99.
