Hewlett-Packard, one of the world's leading vendors of personal computer systems, has been, so far, hesitant to adopt Intel's current line of low-power ULV processors. However, the company is looking to change that, with the release of a new, ultraportable PC that will reportedly be launched as the HP Envy 13. Recently leaked on the Internet, the said laptop appears to borrow the naming scheme from the Voodoo Envy 133, another ultraportable laptop that was designed and launched back in 2008.

Unfortunately, aside from a couple of pictures of the new product, there aren't many details available on HP's new ultraportable. It is expected that the system will boast a 13.1-inch display and will be powered by an Intel chipset. No words on processor and graphics specifications, but the Envy 13 from HP is expected to come out with Microsoft's much-anticipated Windows 7 operating system, meaning that it will most likely become available at retailers sometime next month.

Following a quick look at the pictures that have surfaced on notebook Italia, we found out that the laptop would be featured with two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, and a really cool-looking trackpad. There's also a lithium polymer battery pack, but HP is likely to provide users with a choice for an external battery pack, given the presence of a connector at the back of the laptop.

Overall, the design of the new HP ultraportable makes this system a potential competitor for some of the already famous and high-priced, ultraportable laptops, including Dell's Adamo and Apple's MacBook Air systems.

As stated above, there are only a couple of details available at this time about the new HP Evny 13 ultraportable, but the system could be launched tomorrow, according to a recent Twitter post by Rahul Sood, the CTO of HP's Global Voodoo Business Unit.
