This may or may not be the HP Slate 8 exposed back in April

That video up there is HP's latest YouTube commercial, one that we would not have made a whole blog out of if it didn't contain more than foreshadowing.

There is always the possibility that the tablet causing the man to grin is just a mock-up that will never become a real product.

On the flip side, Windows 8 is drawing near, and HP was the first to preview a tablet loaded with the software, back in April.

Called HP Slate 8, it was supposedly designed for the enterprise sector, with a 10.1-inch screen, HP ProtectTools, TPM embedded security, Computrace, etc.

If the tablet in the video is the Slate 8, we can look forward to a thin profile (9.2 mm), a battery life of 8-10 hours and, probably, Gorilla Glass protection for the LCD.
