Naturally, after AMD decided to officially unveil their latest enthusiast-grade graphics cards, the Radeon HD 6970 and 6950, we're seeing a plethora of announcements coming from all of the company's partners, one of the first to present their particular takes on these latest-gen graphics cards models being HIS. Following its usual policy, HIS (or Hightech Information System Limited, if you prefer) decided to stick to the reference design provided by AMD, so it should come as no surprise that the HIS Radeon HD 6950 packs 2GB GDDR5 memory, 800MHz core clock speed and 5,000MHz memory clock speed.

The Radeon HD 6970 packs the same 2GB GDDR 5 but higher core clock speed at 880MHz and higher memory clock speed at 5,500MHz.

Naturally, the new Radeon HD 6900 series from HIS offers quick and easy access to some of the most famous technologies associated to AMD, such as Eyefinity 4, EyeDefinition and EyeSpeed.

Quite obviously, the new boards also offer access to the HD3D technology, that transmits two separate images to each of the eyes at the same time at a resolution beyond 1080p.

Supported with HD3D glasses, this technological innovation comes with Stereo 3D gaming, Blu-ray 3D, 3rd Party Stereo 3D middleware software and 6900 Series GPU support.

The S3D glasses represent a very good synchronization solution between display and eyewear, are easy to use and excellent in conveying brighter and better images.

To meet the ever-increasing demand of hi-tech consumers, HD3D technology streams high-quality visuals and offers an impressive audio experience with compatible displays - HDMI 1.4a Legacy 3D TVs D projectors and 3D Monitors.

Given the fact that HIS is pretty much stuck to the reference design, it should come as no surprise that their boards are also priced accordingly, the HD 6950 selling for $299.99, while the top-range HD 6970 costs 369 US dollars.
