Since it has not been overly long since AMD released its HD 6000 cards, some of its partners have yet to unleash their own versions, as is shown by Vertex3D, which has only now managed to release its own HD 6850.

For those interested in a reminder, the HD 6000 series from Advanced Micro Devices was launched about two weeks ago.

It is, currently, composed of two cards, the HD 6870 and HD 6850, both of which are aimed at the mainstream market.

This means that they have already begun to battle NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 460, as well as the many overclocked versions NVIDIA's partners have come up with.

Now, Vertex3D, PowerColor's sister brand under TUL Corp, announced that it, too, has begun to offer a HD 6000 video controller.

Said card is known as Radeon HD 6850 X Edition and is factory overclocked, while a custom cooler makes sure that the boosted frequencies don't have any unfortunate side effects.

In addition to the 930 stream processor, the HD 6850 X Edition has the GPU operating at 800 MHz instead of 775 MHz.

Meanwhile, the 1 GB of GDDR5 VRAM has a frequency of 4,200 MHz and works on an interface of 256 bits.

Of course, CrossFireX is supported, and the newcomer is also designed with a 6-pin PCI Express power connector and multiple video ports (dual-DVI, HDMI and Displayport).

Basically, this card should allow most, if not all, games to run at their maximum setting without any sort of problems, DirectX 11 or no.

There is also support for the Eyefinity technology, which lets the image be spread across three monitors at the same time, for better immersion.

Finally, when it comes to cooling, TUL's brand used a mechanism built with two copper heatpipes and a single 92mm fan. Unfortunately, nothing in regards to pricing was revealed.
