Rap’s royalty is coming together for an album that is bound to write history when it comes out in March. Jay Z and Kanye West will put “Watch the Throne” out in spring – and the first single, “HAM,” is out now.

As we also noted back in October 2010, the joint album initially started off as an EP, but, in time, it turned into a fully-fledged studio album that the two decided they would release as such.

Fans will now get the chance to check out what the two heavyweights have in store for them, thanks to “HAM,” which stands for “Hard as a Mother[expletive],” as the lyrics also show.

Kanye has tweeted the artwork for the single, announcing that the track itself drops today, 1. 11. 11 – which it did, you can check it out in the player below.

MTV News says it’s the clearest indication that the two have an epic album coming out. It’s likely that more details will emerge in the following days, since a collaboration of this caliber can’t but get heavy press.

“’HAM’ is rumored to include production by Lex Luger, the upstart beatsmith who was responsible for some of 2010’s biggest anthems, from Rick Ross’ ‘B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast)’ to Waka Flocka Flame’s ‘Hard in Da Paint’,” MTV writes.

“The ‘HAM’ artwork (designed by Riccardo Tisci) features images of crowns mixed with barking dogs and a simple message: ‘Kanye. Jay-Z. Watch the Throne. Coming soon’,” the same media outlet says.

As of now, these are about all the details known on the album and the recently released single.

In other Kanye West-related news, it has just emerged that he may have done on purpose a cover art for his latest album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” that would get banned, just so that he got more publicity for it.

PopEater says Kanye specifically asked artist George Condo to do a cover for the album that “will be banned” because he was looking for other ways to promote the album and get media attention.
