14 DAY TRIAL // Gwen Stefani is such a trendsetter and established fashion icon that she even looks divine when she’s running errands around town. This also includes taking her two boys out for some fun, as was the case the other day, when Gwen rocked a cobweb t-shirt and harem jeans – and still managed to look fabulous, as the Daily Mail puts it.
This type of tee is not new, as Disney darling Miley Cyrus first wore one at the beginning of the year – though, in all fairness, she did not get as much praise as Gwen does right now. What is special about this obesity + speed shirt is that, while it may look like a casual striped tee in the front, the back is made entirely of fine threads that resemble a cobweb. Or, to put it differently, it looks like it’s been ripped or shredded in very fine threads that dangle from behind.
“Super-stylish pop star Gwen Stefani upped her game in the fashion department yesterday. Known for her outrageous clothes, she was spotted in a very strange stripey top on a visit to her parents’ home. The No Doubt singer, 40, appeared to be wearing normal casual clothes from the front, as she walked down the driveway in baggy Levi’s jeans and a loose grey and black shirt with flip flops,” the Mail writes.
“But as she turned to get in her car, her bright blue bra was clear to see through a network of cobweb-style threads. The bizarre top revealed almost all of Gwen’s bare back and dropped nearly to her knees in loose, hanging strings. […] She is known for her edgy high-fashion style and in addition to her hugely successful music career she's also an established fashion designer with her posh clothing range, L.A.M.B.,” says the same publication.
Aside from the out of the ordinary tee that she’s wearing (and for which Miley was severely criticized by many celebrity bloggers), Gwen is also rocking harem pants, the same kind that fashionistas were saying over a year ago would not catch on and of which men said they looked like a giant (used) diaper. Still, somehow, Gwen makes the entire ensemble work for her.
