New trailer prompts comparisons to “Taken,” set in space this time

One of the stuntmen on Guy Pearce's latest movie, “Lock-Out,” has just posted a brand new trailer for the film online. Even though it might not last long and comes in pretty low quality, one can't but admit it looks pretty promising.

“Lock-Out” is the story of one man on a very dangerous, seemingly impossible rescue mission: he must save a woman from a prison overtaken by inmates.

The film has often been compared to Liam Neeson's “Taken,” especially since it stars the same “damsel in distress,” Maggie Grace. The obvious difference is that this one is set in space.

The new trailer should put said comparisons to rest, resting as it does on a central scene in which Pearce's character gets punched a lot – whereas Neeson was the one doing all the punching in the other film.

The other guy in the scene is Peter Stormare who is clearly playing the bad guy – and fans must know what a delicious baddie he always makes.

“Lock-Out” will hit theaters starting April 20, 2012.
