The "Deal of the Week" promotion offered by Microsoft continues with another game on sale. After the price cut that Pinball FX got last week, now it's time for Guitar Hero World Tour DLC to give value for less of a price. Tracks that at one time would have been 160 Microsoft points or $2, are now just $1.50 or 120 coins of the Microsoft currency and are available for the Xbox Live Gold members.

The songs that make up the list are as follows: "Because of You" by Nickelback, "1979" by Smashing Pumpkins, "Hot Blooded" by Foreigner, Blind Melon's "No Rain," "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers, Travis Barker's “Low,” "What's My Age Again" by blink-182, "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield, "We Are The Champions" by Queen and Ram Jam's "Black Betty."

These songs aren't available just for the Guitar Hero World Tour, so it's a two for the price of one deal. Pretty much any Guitar Hero World Tour DLC should be compatible with the Guitar Hero 5 so it's the more the merrier. The only catch is that the offer is limited strictly to this week's promotion so if you want to get a lower price on your purchase you can't let the week slip past you.

Guitar Hero World Tour is a rhythm game part of the Guitar Hero franchise and was developed by Neversoft and published by RedOctane and Activision. It's the forth game in the main series and was launched in North America in October 2008 for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360. The European release came a month later, and the PC/Mac came out in December. The game presents the same toy-guitar controller present in the other games but also brings new elements. The introduction of a wireless microphone and a drum-set controller, along with the option to be a single artist or part of a band, made it a very well received title by the fans. The game also has the Music Studio, which allows players to create their own songs and upload them via GHTunes.
