It's official, Guitar Hero fans, Activision has dated the last installment in series, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for Europe's Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 and Wii users. According to the renowned distributor, GH III will ship with the new wireless Gibson Les Paul guitars. Don't be confused, the report doesn't mention which console versions are bundled with the respective controllers because unlike Rock Band, all versions feature wireless guitars.

However, it has previously been confirmed that future players of the the PlayStation 3 version of GH III: Legends of Rock will need to insert a USB wireless dongle in order to sync their Guitar controllers with the machine. That one's in the guitar pack too, but it adds a little bit of extra fuss. Of course, if you're fine with the old Guitar Hero controllers, the wired ones, you can also stick with those as they will still work with their respective consoles. Also, the PS2 wireless guitar is actually the Kramer model, pictured on the left (click to enlarge).

GH III features a huge selection of worldwide master tracks from bands such as Muse, Kaiser Chiefs, Sex Pistols, Killers, Guns N Roses, Iron Maiden and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Of course, these are just some of the featured groups.

"This is the biggest Guitar Hero release yet", says Zach Fountain, General Manager, RedOctane Europe. "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is the first time the franchise has released simultaneously across multiple formats, so we're delighted to be able to confirm a single street date for all home consoles. The game introduces a host of innovations on each format - no matter what your console of choice, November 23rd will be the day your world gets well and truly rocked."

More as a bonus, GH III also features original compositions from legendary guitarists Slash and Tom Morello, whom have been confirmed as featured boss characters within the game. Gamers should also note that GH III allows them to fret it out in co-operative and face-off scenarios using the game's multiplayer battle mode.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, is set to hit European retailers on November 23rd, being developed by Neversoft and published by RedOctane.
