For the millions of gamers worldwide who have become enraptured by the online roleplaying game Guild Wars, equipping with Guild Wars games and accessories has never been easier. Announced today by ArenaNet, developer of the Guild Wars franchise, and NCsoft Europe, the Guild Wars online store is now open for business.

Players will be able to download Guild Wars games and accessories directly from within the game, and the digital distribution will enable this content to be used immediately, without the need for downloads or CD installation. The store is initially selling the Guild Wars and Guild Wars Factions games, as well as additional character slots to be purchased for existing player accounts, the item most requested by Guild Wars players.

"For the first time, NCsoft is giving access to its PlayNC store from directly within a game," said Max Brown, Sales Director of NCsoft Europe. "This means that when players want to buy something to enhance their Guild Wars experience, they can actually do their shopping inside the game, instantly."

Guild Wars, an instant bestseller worldwide upon its release in April 2005, and Guild Wars Factions, the number one game in both North America and Europe earlier this year, are global online roleplaying games. Guild Wars Nightfall will continue the tradition of inviting players to immerse themselves in an epic storyline centered in a vibrant fantasy setting, build personalized characters, and find adventure in missions and quests, in a Guild Wars game unlike any players have seen before.
