Horizon, the next rumored project from Guerrilla Games, has just received another set of leaked details, this time focusing on its actual gameplay, not to mention yet another image that depicts some of the possible action in the game.

Guerrilla Games is mostly known for creating and taking care of the Killzone franchise for Sony, bringing various first-person shooters within the series onto the PS2, PSP, PS3, PS4, or PS Vita over the years.

However, in recent times, the studio has been rumored to be working on a brand new intellectual property that's quite different from Killzone, but no actual details had appeared until yesterday, when a set of leaked images surfaced on a Chinese website.

Horizon is a third-person action game, apparently

Now, some actual gameplay details have appeared online, via a Reddit user who apparently participated in a focus group organized by Sony two years ago.

According to him, Horizon is a third-person action game that's set in a post-apocalyptic future where robots have evolved into dinosaurs and other animals, while humans have devolved into tribes of cavemen, more or less. They are organized as hunters and gatherers and survive by making weapons based on the robots they take down in combat.

The story focuses on a young girl, who acts as a hunter and wants to explore the ruins of the old civilization, before the devolution began.

"They showed us some early concept gameplay, it seemed like one of the more unique aspect of the gameplay was that your character uses rope arrows to tangle up those giant dinobots like AT-ATs in [Star Wars] Empire Strikes Back."

A big open world with both single-player and co-op

The user also confirms that Sony showed a massive open world and that, while co-op is certainly a big factor in the game, there might be a single-player in which the protagonist is helped by non-playable characters.

"They make it seem like there would be either class based co-op or your character would have some sort of NPCs fighting alongside her. It seems like an open world third person action RPG and they claim the map will be extra huge."

Another leak, this time coming via NeoGAF, also confirms that Horizon has a dedicated single-player campaign, with a huge world, but not much else is known.

Apparently, the reveal was set to be made at E3 2015 next summer, but the leak might result in the announcement being made earlier.

As of yet, neither Guerrilla Games nor Sony has commented on the leaks. What's more, a new image, this time showing a different robot dinosaur, has appeared, via the same A9VG forum.
