There is no way you've been surfing the internet and have not heard about Grumpy Cat. It is the most popular online meme since the internet was born, and as a testament to that fame, it is getting its own Lifetime movie, which is called “Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever.”

The Hollywood Reporter informs that the production team was looking for a voice actor to give life to Grumpy on screen. Previously, it was believed that Jane Lynch was going to voice the famous feline, but those plans fell through after she won an Emmy Award for outstanding reality host for “Hollywood Game Night” back in August. She has since turned down the part.

Today, we find out that the role will instead go to Aubrey Plaza, the actress who played the lead in “The To Do List.” The movie is written by Tim Hill, known for his work on SpongeBob SquarePants, in partnership with Jeff Morris.

As you can imagine, it's a holiday movie and it tells the story of a pet shop cat that gets constantly overlooked in the store, until one day it is bought by a 12-year-old girl by the name of Chrystal, who can also communicate with it.

The movie will air on Lifetime on November 29, at 8 PM.
