A newly updated version of the Grooveshark mobile application is now available for download for the owners of handsets running under the Palm webOS operating system. According to Grooveshark, the new version of their webOS application comes with a nice range of enhancements, as well as with some new features, and with a lot of fixes.

The list of changes the new application comes with includes updates for old Grooveshark API methods, along with updated webOS Media API.

The main novelties the new Grooveshark for webOS includes are:

- Shuffle - You can now shuffle your Now Playing songs. You can also enable shuffling automatically anytime you add a playlist to your queue. - Dashboard Player - Whenever you start playing something, a dashboard player will open up. - You can find it through the notifications section, and have quick access back to the player when you want it. - Low Bitrate Playback - If your connection is slow, or you’re in an area with bad reception, you can still use Grooveshark. We’ll just play slightly lower quality versions of the songs, so the required bandwidth is lower. - Search Filtration - Once you search for music, you can now filter through the results.

However, this is not all that webOS users will enjoy with the application, Grooveshark notes on its blog.

A “Load more results” feature was added to search, while the scrolling on large lists of songs and playlists, has been greatly improved.

With the new app, users will also find an option to play songs/playlists next in the playing queue, not to mention that they will be able to view all the playlists, and not only the last 20.

A series of style fixes for Pixi were added, as well as caching of Favorites list when app starts, along with confirmation dialogs for Logout and Clear Songs.

Also included in the changelog are:

- Shows correct Favorite status in playing queue - Changed text for several buttons to improve usability (eg. “Play All” instead of “Options”, “Settings” instead of “Preferences & Settings”, etc.) - Loading the Now Playing list will scroll the list to current song The application is available for download from the Palm App Catalog, with a $3/month VIP subscription for full access.
