Things are going wonderfully for a certain 12-year-old boy in Oklahoma: Greyson Chance has become an international superstar, only a month after posting several videos on his channel on YouTube. The other day, Greyson did his first radio interview ever, going on air with Ryan Seacrest to answer all questions about fame, his new life and his budding career.

We also reported on several occasions that Greyson became a hit on YouTube after several outlets singled out a video of him playing the piano and singing Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi.” MTV, TMZ, Ellen DeGeneres and Ashton Kutcher on Twitter were just some of those who linked to his video, literally making of him a superstar. Asked by Ryan whether he’s having trouble with instant fame, Greyson remains smiling and unfazed: he’s just having fun and he’s happy he will now get the chance to do what he loves the most, namely music.

As Ryan also notes (see the video embedded at the end of the article), Greyson seems much older than his 12 years, and it’s not only his deep voice that makes one get this vibe. It’s the way he talks and how he answers questions too that show him as a mature boy who is in no way stunned by what’s happening to him. The only moment in the interview where the young singer shows his real age is when he tells Seacrest that Hollywood is filled with nice, genuine people, who are not career-driven at all.

“When this talented 12 year-old kid named Greyson posted video of himself performing a cover of Lady Gaga’s ‘Paparazzi’ 27 days ago, never in his wildest dreams could he have thought he would be where he is now. Four weeks, 22 million views, $10,000 and a record contract later, Greyson Chance from Edmond, Oklahoma is nearly a household name and drawing comparisons to teen phenom Justin Bieber. Thursday, the young singer / songwriter joined Ryan on his radio show to talk about his quick rise to fame and his future as Ellen Degeneres’ first artist under her new record label,” Ryan writes on his official website.

In the same interview, Greyson also talks about girls, those who gave him their telephone number not those who inspired his song “Broken Hearts,” about how his parents plan to not let all this get to his head and where he sees himself going with music. Below is the video. Enjoy.
