14 DAY TRIAL // Luxury mobile manufacturer Gresso has just released yet another expensive Android smartphone that is already available for purchase worldwide, the Regal Gold.
As the name suggests, Gresso Regal Gold is made of gold, but it also uses Titanium grade 5, which makes it more sturdy than most smartphones available on the market.
The smartphone looks exactly like a gold bar, and according to Gresso, it features a solid case construction made of golden PVD-coated titanium.
The back cover is decorated by an 18K Yellow Gold insert which is engraved with the smartphone's individual number. You might wonder why the engraving?
Well, it's pretty simple. Gresso Regal Gold is a limited edition smartphone, which means only 999 units will be manufactured and, hopefully, sold.
But it gets even weirder, as Gresso promises an exclusive service for its customers to choose the individual number to be engraved on the phone's back panel. This will probably come with a price since it's “exclusive.”
No 4G LTE support, but decent 13MP camera
Moving on to specs, Gresso Regal Gold will ship with Android operating system out of the box, and that's the only thing that we're certain of because the company did not say which version would power the luxury phone.
On the inside, the phone will be equipped with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It will also sport a 5-inch full HD (1080p) capacitive touchscreen display that features Corning Gorilla Glass coating.
There's also a 13-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as secondary 5-megapixel camera in the front.
The phone measures 143.2 х 70.2 х 8.8 mm and weighs 205g (battery included). It lacks LTE support, but it does offer 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Gresso Regal Gold is available for purchase beginning June 1 for no less than $6,000 (€5.375) upfront.
