After being forced to break their ETA for the release of Greenpois0n, the Chronic Dev Team have managed to add support for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch (4th Generation), iPod touch (3rd Generation), an iPad in an updated version of the tool which, as of now, is available for free download.

According to the hackers, those who wish to jailbreak using Greenpois0n will need a Windows PC at hand. Macs are yet to be supported by the tool which uses geohot’s exploit, instead of the originally planned SHAtter bootrom hole.

“Initially, this will be a Windows-only release. This is due to some technical complications that we soon hope to correct. We apologize for any inconvenience,” Chronic writes.

“Thanks to geohot for the bootrom USB exploit. We have opted to use that instead of SHAtter for the sake of exploit presevation,” the team adds.

The list of supported and soon-to-be supported devices is then offered, as follows:

“This release of greenpois0n supports: - iPhone 4 - iPhone 3G S - iPod touch (4th Generation) - iPod touch (3rd Generation) - iPad

Soon there will be another release, adding things like support for: - Apple TV (2nd Generation) - iPod touch (2nd Generation)”
