The “Save the Arctic” campaign puts Londoners face to face with a polar bear gone astray

Greenpeace's “Save the Arctic” campaign, which we reported on only yesterday, takes an interesting turn as members of the said organization make British citizens come face to face with a polar bear roaming the streets of the country's capital city.

Granted, the polar bear wasn't a real, flesh and blood one, but only a mere dummy.

However, when one looked at it from a distance, there really wasn't much of a difference between it and the real thing.

Apparently, this polar bear wanna-be was intended to raise awareness with respect to the need to prevent oil and gas companies from drilling in the Arctic region, especially since this part of the world is already affected by global warming.

The “Save the Arctic” project is also backed up by celebrities such as Paul McCartney, Penelope Cruz and Robert Redford.
