As of this morning, activists concerned about the future of the Arctic are expected to pick up the phone and give oil and gas company Shell a call.

Greenpeace members instruct that the conversation needs be as polite as possible, but that the case must be made about how this particular industry impacts on the environment.

The organization also asks that the green-heads who decide to participate in this campaign try and hold the line for at least a few minutes, asking their interlocutor whether or not he/she is aware of how the company they work for is destroying what is left of our Arctic ecosystems.

To make it easier for people to get involved, Greenpeace also posted the phone numbers of various Shell headquarters on their official website, and also designed some conversation blue-prints.

The campaign will end once the sun sets in Alaska.
