Japanese SSD maker Green House has decided to launch four new SSDs that use the well-known SF-2281VB1 controller from SandForce. All the drives are rated at a high 550 MB/s sequential read speed, but we caution the users that this is a theoretical mark.

Such a high transfer rate can only be achieved when the drive is in pristine state right out of the factory.

After filling 80% of the drive’s capacity and using it for a few months, the buyer should expect read rates well below the 350 MB/s mark with even lower partition-to-partition copy speed.

The capacities that have just been announced reportedly are 60 GB, 120 GB, 240 GB and 480 GB and they all use the SATA III interface.

All the drives use MLC NAND and come with a decent 3-year warranty.
