Reaching the South Pole is a major achievement most people wouldn't dare to dream about. However, Grant Korgan, a brave disabled athlete who lost control over his feet after a dramatic injury is one step closer to achieving his goal, due to two innovative green concepts.

First one is a photovoltaic system, Sherpa 120 Adventure Kit, developed by Goal Zero, designed to power all kinds of gadgets, from smartphones and laptops, GPS, to lights and USB devices while the user is on the run.

The kit comes with a solar panel, power pack and cords and can recharge devices in an eco-friendly manner in up to 5 hours.

The second one is a pair of high-tech heated socks, launched on the market by Therm-ic, which come equipped with a powerful PowerSock battery pack, keeping Korgan's feet warm and helping him complete his mission.

All in all, these features prove that people can count on advanced green technology to become superheroes and follow their most ambitious dreams.
