A brand new report has appeared online claiming that Grand Theft Auto 5 Online, the multiplayer mode of GTA 5, will have an increased limit of 32 players, instead of the official 16, while offering fresh details about the modes and missions from the online experience.

Grand Theft Auto 5 appeared last week and delivered an impressive single-player experience that delighted fans who are now exploring the world of Los Santos and Blaine County in anticipation of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto Online, the multiplayer mode that's going to appear as a free download next week, on October 1.

Until its release, CinemaBlend has dug through the leaked files that appeared for GTA 5 earlier this month and found some new mentions of the GTA Online mode.

The most impressive fact is that the multiplayer experience supports up to 32 players, double the limit that had been confirmed by Rockstar some time ago, of just 16 players.

Besides finding references to this limit, lots of other things were uncovered in the configuration files, including mentions of modes like Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, Races, but also a "Freemode" that will allow players to just roam around the huge world.

A special Cops and Crooks mode is also referenced in the files, allowing players to join one of two gangs or the cops and take on different missions around the game world.

These quests involve bombing of certain locations, like gentlemen's clubs, but also regular patrol activities for the cops. What's more, if a cop is doing a poor job, he'll be demoted and forced to complete simpler tasks until he is promoted once more.

Different distractions are also included in GTA Online, according to the report, like going to amusement parks or watching movies in a Cinema mode.

The lobby system for GTA Online will also detect players who are idling and not doing anything, and they'll be kicked automatically for inactivity.

As of yet, Rockstar hasn't commented on the leaked details.
