Rockstar Games, the developer and publisher of Grand Theft Auto 5, once again confirms that there has been no delay for the PC version of the game, as it's still set to launch across the respective platform on January 27, worldwide.

Grand Theft Auto 5 has had a staggered release schedule, first dropping onto the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms back in September of 2013 as a single-player experience. Afterwards, in October of the same year, it got the GTA Online multiplayer mode as a free update on the two last-generation consoles.

Last November, it reached the PS4 and Xbox One platforms, bringing forth not just the regular game and its multiplayer mode, but also plenty of enhancements when it comes to gameplay, such as the first-person view, not to mention many different visual improvements.

While the PC version was also supposed to arrive in November alongside the new console editions, Rockstar Games decided to push back its release in order to work some more on it and ensure that it could delight PC users.

A new delay hasn't been made

Now, as we're getting closer to its new release date of January 27, a few promised details, such as the minimum and recommended system requirements, and other things have yet to be revealed by Rockstar. This has led fans to once again speculate on a delay for the PC edition of GTA 5.

However, an official Rockstar representative has stepped forward on the Support forums to once again squash any rumors concerning a possible delay for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5. According to him, there have been no new announcements related to this edition of the game, so it's still on for a January 27 debut.

"GTA V will be coming to PC on January 27. We have not announced any changes to this date at this time," the representative said.

While the answer does leave the door open for a new delay, it's still testimony that, at least for now, Rockstar is trying to launch the game as soon as possible onto the PC.

Expect to hear some more announcements in the following weeks, after Rockstar's employees get back to work.
