Rockers perform “Rock or Bust” and “Highway to Hell” medley

We already knew that AC/DC would perform at the Grammys 2015, but their opening number was everything we could have imagined and then some. The aging rockers kicked off the music industry’s biggest night with a medley that got everyone in the audience on their feet, even though reactions to it online were mixed.

You can find the performance embedded below. The quality of the video might not be the best, but it’s more than enough to give you an idea of the awesomeness the rockers unleashed. Lead Brian Johnson and guitarist Angus Young are still amazing, in case you were wondering.

They performed a medley of “Rock or Bust,” the title track from their most recent album, which came out last year, and their super-famous “Highway to Hell.” You can tell from the reactions of those in the audience that this was just the song they expected to hear, because everyone from Lady Gaga and Blake Shelton to those lucky people in the pit were singing along, rocking on.

Fun facts: AC/DC never performed at the Grammys before. As they say, it’s probably better late than never: the band was formed in 1973 and has sold over 200 million albums so far, but it’s just now that it’s rocking the Grammy stage.

Another fun fact: despite their huge success years ago, AC/DC only has one Grammy win, the Best Hard Rock Performance for “War Machine,” in 2010.

Here’s the performance, enjoy!
