Although she was rumored to be appearing live on-stage at the 2014 Grammys, Beyonce is now being confirmed by the organizers. However, she's not appearing alongside the Queen of Pop Madonna, but she'll be joined by her rapper husband Jay Z.

The confirmation came in the form of a commercial for the event aired on CBS, the network that will also be airing the event on January 26. This recent development may have something to do with the fact that Beyonce has not had a public performance since releasing her surprise album on iTunes last month.

Playing with Jay Z will give Beyonce the opportunity to sing hits such as “Drunk in Love” from her latest album, which is a duet and also one of the most appreciated tracks on the record by fans and the industry alike.

Most recently, Beyonce performed for the First Lady at the White House, in a very exclusive event that celebrated Michelle Obama's 50th anniversary. She and Jay Z are said to be close friends of the Presidential couple.

Meanwhile, Madonna remains still just a rumor, with much speculation that she will be doing a surprise performance.
