As announced, Beyonce and husband Jay Z opened the 2014 Grammy Awards with a live rendition of one of her latest songs, “Drunk in Love,” off the album “Beyonce,” released just recently on iTunes. To say that many viewers felt offended by their sensual number would be an understatement.

Below is a video of their performance. As I noted earlier today, the performance saw Bey dirty dancing on a chair as she sang her raunchiest song to date, with Jay joining her on stage later on, providing her with a body to twerk on.

Fans of Beyonce must know that she usually includes a bit more… suggestive moves in her choreography, but many believe she may have crossed the line with her number at last night’s awards gala.

Deeming her routine “filthy” and “raunchy” for TV, they have taken to social media to blast the diva for selling out by becoming just as explicit as current pop stars, many of whom don’t have the vocal skills and talent she boasts of, relying solely on shocking imagery to sell.

She would never need that, so she’s showing “no class” by going down this route, they’re saying. The Daily Mail has gathered some of the comments on Twitter, concluding that what upset viewers the most was the fact that Beyonce made the Grammys unwatchable for kids because of her NSFW routine and shameless lyrics.

As these things go, there are two sides to every argument. On which are you? Let me know in the comments section below, but not before you see the performance in full – and these two complimentary GIFs.
