One of the performers at Sunday's Grammy 2012 Awards will be Chris Brown, word online has it. Official confirmation is still pending but, for what it's worth, various media outlets claim he's determined to make his performance one that would be impossible to forget.

The highlight of the evening will be, of course, Adele's comeback to the stage, after over 3 months of silence and zero live shows.

However, Brown is also getting plenty of headlines, especially since his performance would take place 3 years after the episode that nearly cost him his career, when he lashed out at then-girlfriend Rihanna after the prestigious awards show.

According to Radar Online, Brown wants to show the entire world that they should pay attention only to his music and dancing, and he's set to do that by putting on the most spectacular show ever.

“Chris has been rehearsing non-stop for the performance. He wants to give the audience and his fans an over top the performance,” an unnamed source claiming to be well familiar with the situation says for the celebrity e-zine.

“Chris has put a lot of pressure on himself to deliver a memorable performance, and he will deliver, he always does,” adds the spy.

Indeed, regardless of the bad press Brown has been getting ever since the Rihanna episode, there was never any denying his ability to put on a great show.

This year though, he wants to make sure all eyes will be on him. This will also be Chris' way of closing that chapter of his life, where people still talk of the Rihanna incident, for which he more than paid his dues.

“Chris is hopeful that his performance will close that chapter on his life. He will be bringing his mom to the awards ceremony, she is his biggest fan, and he has told her he is dedicating his performance to her,” the spy says.

“He has been a model probationer, but more importantly, Chris accepted responsibility for what he did. Chris took that experience and vowed to learn from it and become a better person, and he was thrilled and truly humbled that he was nominated for three Grammys,” notes the insider.

Rihanna will also be present at the awards gala and will even take to the stage to perform, with the British band Coldplay.

However, organizers are going all the way out there to make sure the two exes don't cross paths, Radar claims.
