Only a few games in the history of gaming have managed to redefine the genre they're part of or at least be as good as the Gothic series. Further more, I doubt there are many games released 7 years ago that still give you that "actual and real" feeling the first Gothic does. And there are even fewer games where you are the Nameless Hero and feel glad about that. And, of course, these are just a few reasons why you should have Gothic Universe.

You probably ask yourself what is it, after such an introduction. Well, first of all, it is a definite must have: a collection of all the three games in the series, plus the Gothic II expansion pack. This roughly means 300 hours of gameplay plus a great replayability value. So, basically, you'll have the entire Gothic story in one huge pack.

You your journey as a prisoner of the King, who must find enough magic ore to forge weapons for his army in defense against the Orcs. The mines are set in a large magical sphere and inside this sphere you will start exploring Myrtana's mysteries. Once you've managed to burst the bonds of imprisonment, it's on you to explore the island of Khorinis. Willing to do whatever is necessary to banish evil once and for all, defend the people against the orcish thread and venture deep into subterranean temples.

After your escaped from the island, you didn't find safety: The orcs have finally conquered Myrtana and enslaved the humans. Barbarians of the icy north and few fearless rebels are the only resistance. You can either support their efforts or join the orcish occupation forces - but whatever you do, the destiny of Myrtana is yours to forge!

Do you need more? Yes, we know, Gothic 4. But that's not possible at the moment. Gothic Universe is. Go get it while it's hot.
