Like many other gorgeous women in showbiz right now, Michelle Pfeiffer, 53, too was plagued with talk of plastic surgery especially in more recent years. Speaking with Elle on the issue, she says she’s OK with the idea of surgical improvement.

With voices in the blogosphere saying she had a nose job, cheek implants and some other tweaks here and there (all unconfirmed rumors), Michelle gets candid with the magazine on the topic of plastic surgery.

She, for one, ranked among the most beautiful women in showbiz, wouldn’t knock it, she says. However, there’s a line that mustn’t be crossed in our attempt to fight the signs of old age.

“I’m all for a little something here and there-fine. It doesn’t matter to me if people have plastic surgery or they don’t, or if they do Botox,” Michelle says, refusing to be judgmental about other people’s choices.

Still, when they get so much work done they’re hardly recognizable, then it’s clear that things are not as they should be.

“But when people don’t look like themselves anymore, that’s when you kind of go, ‘Oooh,’ and it’s kind of sad. It’s uncomfortable for us, but if they’re happy with what they see in the mirror, does it matter?” she says.

The star has always taken this approach to beauty: in an interview of a couple of years ago, she was saying she was happy she’d turned 50 because lot of the pressure to look perfect had gone.

She was finally allowed “to have a wrinkle, you deserve to have a little pooch on your tummy,” she was saying, as we also informed you at the time.

In the same interview, Pfeiffer revealed that, unlike some women blessed with a gorgeous figure, she had to work hard for hers, so she dieted and did a lot of exercise.
