Google is the company that owns the most powerful and popular search engine on the internet with many employees, millions of users per day and a huge profit. Since the release of the search engine, many companies and potential rivals tried to challenge the search giant to alter its image and reputation. As you probably know, a lot of users are trying to attack the search engine every day with several methods, such as GoogleBombs that can influence Google to return search results that don't correspond with the keyword entered by the user.

I think we all agree that Google can return some weird results but this is caused by the huge database of links stored by the company. It seems like another threat for Google is going to be released that is meant to correct the issues in the search engine.

Philipp Lenssen from Google Blogoscoped posted a message on the official blog to publish a press release that announces a new service to challenge Google. GoogleKiller, an innovative search engine that is going to be released soon, is a technology that will be able to make the difference between jaguar - the animal and the car, so the results will be much closer to the keyword typed by the user. The solution is currently in private beta but the developers expect to make it available to public in early 2008.

"Imagine you're searching for 'jaguar'," Mr. Doe explains, "But Google won't be able to know whether you're looking for jaguar-the-animal or Jaguar-the-car. This is a constant nuisance to searchers around the world. Well, through extensive research by our in-house AI group, we solved that problem in GoogleKiller - by adding SnakeOil.

With their patented technology running in the background, XYZ's next generation search engine will now display both a car and an animal in searches for "jaguar". John Doe adds that this feature is currently being rolled out to 5 other ambiguous English word," it is mentioned in the press release.
