Google is firstly the provider of the most popular search engine on the internet, so it's obvious that the company tries to build more applications based on this search technology. As you probably know, the search giant already owns multiple solutions that allow you to use the power of the search engine. University Search, Patent Search and Video Search are only some of the services that were meant to present a new way of searching.

The company also tried to get the search engine into the offline area by creating a downloadable application, Desktop Search, that helps you organize and find files on your computer with ease. Google also released multiple versions of the search engine designed for enterprise needs so it's obvious that the company wants to enhance its technology.

Book Search is a service that is also based on Google's search technology and it allows you to search for books from the entire world as well as other information about the author or title. The service was improved several times, representing a clear sign that the company wants to expand its services. This fact is also sustained by a recent rumor that says Google is preparing to launch Taiwan Book Search, a special solution for this country.

"Google will soon announce its Book Search service in Taiwan in cooperation with Cite Publishers, an associate of the Hong Kong-based Tom Group, according to Google Taiwan. Google Taiwan said the service is expected to help publishers build up an Internet platform that allows readers to quickly locate the books they want, and introduce Taiwan's books to the international readership. While Cite will be the first partner for the Book Search service, industry sources said Google's next partnership target will be online bookstore Books.com.tw," DigiTimes reported.
