New purpose of the search engine

It seems like the search giant revolutionizes our lives in both online and offline modes as the users are now searching the Internet to find details about their dates. As The Calgary Sun reports, a woman from Houston managed to find a matching date after she searched Google although there were a lot of interesting things regarding the guys. Katie Laird, a 24-year-old woman from Houston, found a guy attracted by vampires as well as weird fetishes regarding the dates.

"It seems like in contemporary dating, it's this elaborate dance between two people who already know a lot of what their date is talking about, but they can't admit it. You nod your head with curiosity, but you already know what they're going to say." says David Silver, a professor of media in San Francisco for the same publication.

Although it is quite amazing and obvious that Google changes our lives, it reveals another aspect of the search giant: it is able to show private information about us to unknown people. Now, this is a different problem because a user who posts his details on the Internet should expect to be indexed by Google, unless he configures additional options to block Googlebot.

In the past, Google proved us that it is the most powerful search engine on the Internet and this is obvious even now, when a lot of companies are struggling to build similar products. As you know, Google competes with Yahoo Search, Ask.com and several companies but it managed to remain the leader without help. The only problem is China where the search giant is continuously trying to expand its solution but it is often rejected by the local leaders that are attracting all the customers.
