Google managed to make one more partnership with an online social network after the company agreed to include its search technologies and advertising solution on Friendster, an online social network. At this time, Friendster has more than 40 million members in the entire world, the main goal of the service being represented by the relations created between members. The financial terms were not disclosed but Google will provide its service to an impressive number of users from more than 75 countries.

"Friendster's users will benefit from Google's powerful search technologies and targeted advertising, and advertisers will have improved access to one of the largest online social networking communities in the world. Friendster has already successfully integrated and launched the text and display advertising components of the deal worldwide. The search component is anticipated to launch during the second quarter of this year," Friendster sustained in a press release.

Why is the Friendster agreement a real hit for Google? Because the social network owns so many users, the search technologies implemented by Google will represent another attraction of the site while the advertising platform will become more popular among Friendster members. TechCrunch sustained that Friendster generates almost 6 billion page views per month so imagine that Google's product will be used by an impressive number of visitors.

"As a top-25 global Web brand with 19 million monthly unique visitors and 6 billion page views per month, this agreement with Google allows Friendster to leverage the best industry platform to monetize our high-growth global business," said Aaron Barnes, vice president of sales and business development at Friendster.

In the past, the company made several interesting partnerships that are now the main elements for powerful products designed by Google. Take the example of YouTube that is continuously announcing new agreements with attractive firms able to boost the traffic of the service.
