Google recently managed to sign a deal with the University of Lausanne Library that will bring more digitized content for the Book Search technology. This institution is the 14th partner for Google Book Search and will offer content in several languages including French, English, German and even Japanese. "Today, we announced that the University of Lausanne Library in Lausanne, Switzerland is our 14th Book Search Library Partner. We will work with our first French-language library partner to digitize the university's thousands of public domain works (which are not only in French but also in English, German, Latin, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, etc). We're excited to make this collection discoverable to readers and researchers around the world," Jodi Healy, Library Partnerships Manager, said today.

Some time ago, the parent company Google decided to make Book Search a powerful online solution and started an impressive campaign to bring more content for the technology. Because the search giant wanted to digitize the information provided by libraries and universities, the company made partnerships with a lot of public institutions able to enhance the Book Search content. However, the search technology was not really well promoted in the recent period and remains a little bit anonymous as Google didn't sign any new deal.

As you might know, Google Book Search is a useful search technology that allows users to find books from any location in the world and view important information concerning the author, the book and its content. Additionally, Book Search provides multiple links to buy he book, borrow it or sometimes view all the pages for free straight from an online interface. Google is also using the search technology to distribute AdSense adverts and included several sponsored links that can bring money to the company. If you want to try Book Search you can use this link.
