Immediate response from Google

After hackers ridiculed Google's OS for G1 mobiles by bypassing it in no time, Google came out just as strong and fast with an update that placed everything right back where it all started. To be more explicit, this update is repairing all the flaws in the old system and getting G1 users to their previous status, showing the XDA hacker community once again that there is nothing they can do.

Turning the page to the iPhone's operating system, subtle unofficial reports on the Internet are claiming that the Mac Book and Mac Book Pro are also to be reinstated as hack free by the iPhone's OS programmers shortly. Going back to the G1, its users are most likely to soon enjoy new Android software and devices as the market is improving, whereas Apple is still very much against releasing any software or hardware.

This event will probably result in more cases of “jailbreaking” regarding the iPhone, then the G1. This does not exclude the possibility that XDA hacker community will try to find other ways of cracking the new Android OS RC30 system, thus generating a fierce competition between them and Google.

The work is not done yet for Google as they are making sure that all G1 users will get the update immediately so that no more surprises could occur, at least right now. In order to keep up with these developments, G1 users should definitely be on the lookout for any notification from Google.

These being said, try to enjoy the G1 as it was made and as it is run by Google for it seems that change is not an option for this mobile system.
